I went in today to enjoy a 60min reflexology appointment. Amber was the staff working on my feet. Such an amazing hour that went by much too fast. Cash, the handsome wonder dog also joined in adding a sweet snuggle. I have visited this Spa previously and was very happy with my services then as well. I will return and will be asking for gift cards from family!!!
I had a mixed experience at Wellness Spa. The massage therapist was kind overall, but there were several issues that left me disappointed. During my facial, I specifically asked her not to touch my eyebrow hair. She continued until I had to repeat myself a second time, which was frustrating. I also felt that the front of my body didn’t receive as much attention during the massage as I expected. In addition, when I was asked to flip over on the massage table, I wasn’t covered properly, which made me feel uncomfortable. The facility itself could have been cleaner. While the front bathroom was clean, the overall cleanliness of the spa left room for improvement. Another issue was the front desk experience. Before my appointment, I received multiple calls about my appointment, which became annoying. The biggest disappointment came after my service when I left a tip. The receptionist argued with me, saying I should be tipping more. Tipping is a personal choice, and being pressured or made to feel guilty about how much I tipped was completely inappropriate and left a very negative impression. The prices were reasonable, which is the one positive I can mention. However, because of the cleanliness concerns, the service issues, the lack of proper draping during the massage, and especially the uncomfortable interaction about tipping, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
I’m not sure what I was expecting. It’s definitely a cheaper massage place. If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t the place. There are curtains for doors on the rooms which left me feeling a little exposed. I’m definitely a little on the conservative side about being seen nude. I removed everything but my underwear and laid on the soft disposable bed sheet. The bed was clean. However the shelves where you put your belongings was a little dirty. The stool that the masseuse sat on was filthy but at least I didn’t touch it. The girl that did my massage was very good but only knew some English. She was able to ask about pressure, if I was ok and if I wanted a foot massage. I asked if she could feel my tight muscles and she didn’t know what I was saying. The uncomfortable part is how far she rolled my underwear down and also when she moved it to almost my butt crack when doing my butt. I moved the fabric back a little and she said sorry. Also while laying on my belly she climbed on the table and straddled my legs to massage my back! That was a first for me when getting a massage. I’m a short woman so I’m not sure why she had to do that. Although I was surprised at first she seemed professional so I let it go but it was definitely awkward. I also noticed the dog when I came into the parlor and wasn’t sure what the boundaries were as far as whether she would enter my room during the massage. She was sweet but the door curtains don’t reach the floor so she could have wandered in at any moment. I would not have liked that. I probably will not go back even though I got a good massage the environment was uncomfortable.
